We are now looking for a student to join our Financial Crime Surveillance team part time, as Junior Surveillance Officer.

About the Role at Trapets

Market Surveillance covers all order events and trades in equities, derivatives and other financial instruments and is adapted to comply with the Market Abuse Regulation (MAR). We use our in-house developed software system InstantWatch to analyse orders and trades and to handle alerts, identify deviant behaviours and investigate suspicious insider trading and market manipulation.

Trapets is currently looking for a student worker to join our Financial Crime Surveillance team (FCS) in a part-time position as Junior Surveillance Officer. The FCS team operates Trapet’s Managed Services for Market Surveillance and AML Transaction Monitoring, serving around 15 customers based both in Sweden and abroad, by handling their outsourced operational market surveillance.

In this role, you will work regularly - but specifically during reporting periods and holiday periods, to strengthen the team when the workload is high. This role is perfect for someone who has 2-3 years left of their studies, as we see a continuing need.

Initially, we will guide you through a few weeks of training together with the FCS team here at Trapet’s Head Office in central Stockholm. You will then work together with the FCS team to handle the market surveillance for our customers, using InstantWatch Market.

Your responsibilities will include

• Primarily to conduct operational market surveillance for our customers by identifying, investigating and reporting cases of suspicious insider trading or market manipulation.
• Learning to become a super-user of our surveillance system InstantWatch Market.
Taking on your assignments as a team player and together with our team of 5 Senior Surveillance Officers.

• Fluent in Swedish and English both in speech and writing
